Gladiator Returns: Year 3 As The Official Mouthguard Of Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse

Gladiator is proud to once again be the Official Mouthguard Partner of Athletes Unlimited (AU) Lacrosse, which is set to launch its third season on July 20 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Maryland.

Featuring 56 of the world’s best lacrosse players, the 24-game season includes some of the brightest stars in women’s lacrosse, including current and former members of the U.S. National team, World Cup Gold Medal winners, NCAA All-Americans and more. Seventeen rookies will be on the field this season, joining top 2022 finishers Taylor Moreno and Sam Apuzzo. Year 3 will also feature the return of Kylie Ohlmiller, one of the most electrifying players in women’s lacrosse history.

AU Lacrosse features a range of innovations to bring athletes and fans a unique and intense version of the sport. That includes playing a short form, fast paced format consisting of eight-minute quarters, 10v10 gameplay and a 60-second shot clock. The four “teams” change each week, with the top four athletes in the standings serving as captains and drafting their teams. Last season’s champion, University of North Carolina’s all-time saves leader Moreno, beat out Apuzzo by just 16 points.

Like past seasons, every AU Lacrosse athlete is protected by a Gladiator Pro custom mouthguard, though that’s not new for most of these athletes, as 51% of the league’s players were on a team providing Gladiator custom mouthguards during their college career. This shows the national recognition of college lacrosse programs understanding the importance of proper protection and realizing that Gladiator Custom Mouthguards is the premier brand.

This year, players have two versions of their custom mouthguard, featuring their jersey number and the recently updated AU logo that emphasizes gold — the color of champions. The previously used AU gradient is incorporated into the logo featured on the white guard, with the new gold logo displayed on the black version.
