There is a lot of verbal communication in roller derby and the Gladiator Pro allows me to communicate with my teammates without gagging on my mouth guard. I have now had my gladiator since 2013. It’s still intact and doing it’s job!
I loved mine so much my oldest bought one when she was in braces, and bought another one once braces were off. It is so comfortable and customizable– it doesn’t budge, but is also comfortable. We can speak and drink with it in, and it is easy to clean and refresh. I’ve tried many brands, I’ll never buy anything but Gladiator.

Great upgrade from the boil and bite guards. The first clay mold i had to throw out as it hardened before I was able to get it in the tray. The second one I quickly mixed but I didn’t think the mold would be good enough to send it. I sent a pic to customer service they confirmed it was good to go. Finished product was better than I expected and fits perfectly. Time will tell how long it lasts but I would order another gladiator mouth guard.

This is an update review: Thank God I was wearing my mouth guard in a recent drop in hockey game. Playing in a drop in game you would think it’s going to be casual…UNTIL a 4th line beer league prospect shoots a slap shot into your mouth! I’m 100% sure that if I didn’t have my mouth guard in I would be missing all 4 of my front teeth. With the mouth guard my lips got fat, with the upper one swelling up to about 1.5″ off my face and I got cuts on top and underneath. The cuts were not deep enough to require stitches. I was able to eat solid food the next day. 2 weeks later and my mouth is about 90% healed. The shot hit hard enough to knock me out and give me a lingering concussion. I have serious doubts that a store bought mouth guard would have performed as well saving my teeth. These things work wonderfully.

I’m so glad that gladiator was recommended to me! The cheaper options were just not cutting it and while the cost for a tailored mouthguard seems high…. It really isn’t. Having to purchase multiple other options cheaper versions where you have to boil water and all that fun stuff…. If you want to buy ONE guard and know it’ll fit well, be comfortable, you don’t have to boil water and all that fun Shitake, then just spend the money for a gladiator!!
