Hockey East Best Defensive Forward Award Presented By Gladiator
Annually voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches at the conclusion of the regular season, the Gladiator Custom Mouthguards Best Defensive Forward Award has been announced by Hockey East for the 2017-2018 season!
This year’s winner, Brian Pinho, helped the Friars to a Hockey East championship game appearance and NCAA tournament selection. The senior captain from North Andover, Mass. finished second on Providence in scoring with 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points. Brian finished the season posting a plus-minus of +14 and is the fourth Friar in the last seven seasons to earn this award. All while helping the Providence defense to allowing only 2.18 goals per game.
