Philadelphia Vs. Dallas: Danny Garcia Aims For The Title In North Texas
It’s “Dallas Week” in Philadelphia, but not for the Eagles.
When Philly athletes walk out in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, there is usually a division title on the line. This Saturday a different type of athlete from the City of Brotherly Love is aiming for a title in North Texas: Danny “Swift” Garcia.
The 31-year-old Garcia (36-2, 21 KOs) faces off against undefeated unified welterweight world champion Errol “The Truth” Spence, Jr (26-0, 21 KOs), as Spence defends his titles in what is being called the biggest fight of the year, on FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View.
After beginning his career 33-0, Garcia is showing the world that his feared left hook is as dangerous as ever. He cruised to a unanimous decision against Ivan Redkach in his last fight.
The two-division champion — Garcia claimed the light welterweight unified world title in 2012 and the WBC welterweight title in 2016 — has been proudly protected by Gladiator Custom Mouthguards since the company’s inception in 2001. At the time, Garcia was a 12-year old being trained by his father, former boxer Angel Garcia, and he went on to become the first Latino world champion from Philadelphia (our hometown)!
As he has throughout his career, Garcia will be wearing his Gladiator Pro custom mouthguard. One of the three designs features Garcia’s standard red, white and blue color scheme — which he typically wears — another with a carolina blue with metallic silver logo and a third clear guard with metallic gold logo. Each design features his DSG logo and his daughter’s name: Philly.

Update 12/4: Danny will be wearing his classic red, white and blue DSG Gladiator in tomorrow’s fight!
