Jack Eichel’s Gladiator For The 2017-18 NHL Season With The Buffalo Sabres
The 2017-18 NHL season is fast approaching, and this looks like the year Team Gladiator Athlete Jack Eichel makes “The Leap” for the Buffalo Sabres.
Entering his third season with the Sabres, the 2015 second overall pick is primed to take on a larger role with the team, both on the ice and off. The two sides are rumored to be working on a long-term contract extension, and there’s potential for Eichel to wear the captain’s “C” on his sweater when the season begins.
Last year, the center’s production jumped to .934 points per game — up from the .691 PPG he posted in his rookie season — as he led the Sabres with 57 points. His defense also improved, as he continues to use his remarkable skating ability to cover all three zones. For the second time in his career, Eichel was named to the U.S. Men’s Nation Team and represented Team USA at the 2017 IIHF World Championship in Europe.
Eichel’s 2017-18 High Performance custom mouthguard is completely clear and features the Sabres’s logo, Eichel’s name and number 15. Eichel and his Gladiator will be in the spotlight along with the rest of the Sabres, as they travel to Citi Field in New York to play the Rangers in the 2018 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on January 1.
