Danny Garcia To Take On Daniel Gonzalez In His “Farewell To Brooklyn” Bout

For the 10th — and apparently final time — Danny “Swift” Garcia is going to fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. 7-2 all time at the arena, Garcia announced that this bout — dubbed “Farewell to Brooklyn” — will mark the beginning of his retirement tour.
The former unified 140-pound champion, 147-pound titleholder and future hall of famer, Garcia (37-4, 21 KOs) will take on Daniel Gonzalez (22-4-1, 7 KOs) in the junior middleweight main event on October 18.
Garcia, a Team Gladiator Athlete, has been proudly protected by Gladiator custom mouthguards since the company’s inception in 2001. At the time, Garcia was a 12-year-old being trained by his father, former boxer Angel Garcia, and he went on to become the first Latino world champion from Philadelphia (our hometown!).
As he has throughout his career, Garcia will be wearing his Gladiator Pro with Power Grip upgrade custom mouthguard with three different designs to choose from. First, his standard red, white, and blue color scheme featuring his DSG logo and his daughter’s name: Philly. And, in celebration of Garcia’s announced retirement, he will also have two Hall of Fame designs to choose from. One with metallic black logo with metallic confetti; the other matching his fight fit with a metallic orange and black motif.
