Jaron Ennis Returns To Philly To Step Up For His Super Welterweight Debut

Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis is coming home and stepping up.
Since unifying the WBA and IBF welterweight crowns — which he won when he stopped Eimantas Stanionis in his previous match — ‘Boots’ stepped up to 154 pounds to make his super welterweight debut.
Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs), who is from Philly — our hometown! — will face Uisma Lima (14-1, 10 KOs), who is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, at the newly named Xfinity Mobile Arena (formerly Wells Fargo Center) in South Philadelphia on October 11.
‘Boots,’ who has been wearing Gladiators since 2018, will honor his late Grandma Sallie who passed in December of 2024 and his former bodyguard who passed in May 2025 with two special designs of his Pro style Gladiator mouthguard — one a bi-color navy blue and metallic silver featuring “RIP Grandma Sallie” and JBE logo; and an orange guard with “Forever the Shield” and RIP Panch ID.
